eGovernance of the Civil Society | Short Bio

Biographic Note

Jacques Gamboni Jacques Gamboni was born in 1950 in Switzerland. He received his Electrical Engineering degree (HES) from the Engineering School of Geneva in 1970. He started his 32 year long career in the telecommunication industry at the Swiss PTT in 1974 as project director for key account private telecommunication networks. In 1988, foreseeing the progressive abolition of telecom monopoly, he founded his own engineering consulting office to compete in the free market, and again in 1998, taking advantage of the ICT revolution frenzy, he founded a new telecom operator company. Heading both these companies, he was able to experiment from the inside how the last technological revolution developed and changed our social environment. Being now a graduate of the Executive Master in e-Governance of the EPFL, he was elected secretary of the eGov@EPFL Alumni Association and available, as private consultant, to contribute to the development of eGovernance strategies of Governments, Administrations and the Civil Society.
